• Obituary, 1994, Minnesota, USA. Albert G. Raymond, 85, of Bemidji died Thursday, Dec. 29, 1994, at the Beltrami Nursing Home. Funeral services were at Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji. Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery.
Mr. Raymond was born May 18, 1909, in Barnesville, the son of John and Mary Raymond. He grew up in Barnesville and went to school in the Fargo-Moorhead area. He moved to the Bemidji area in the late 1930s and worked for the U.S. Forestry Service in Cass Lake for several years. He then operated his own gravel and dirt, excavating and landscaping business, Raymond's, in Northern Township for many years. He also had a vegetable farm and during the 1970s worked for the Leonard Pipeline for several years. In his retirement years, he worked for the Department of Natural resources in the Green Thumb program in the Bemidji area. He was a member of American Legion Post 16 in Bemidji, the Bemidji Moose Club and the American Association of Retired Persons.
He is survived by 10 children, Janice (LeRoy) Zerr of Huntington Beach, Calif., Albert G. Jr., Norma (Robert) Benson, Catherine Lewis, Virginia (Brad) Olson, Ronald, all of Bemidji, Phyllis (Jack) Hagen of Minot, N.D., Linda Williams of Anchorage, Alaska, Bonnie Bryant of Minneapolis, and John A. Raymond of Solway; 17 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Roy (Gladys) Raymond of Arizona; a sister, Lenora (Martin) Waldecker of Minneapolis; and a special nephew, Harold Raymond of Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters.

Albert Raymond, 85, Bemidji, died Thursday, Dec. 29, 1994, in Beltrami Nursing Home, Bemidji.

Services: 1 p.m. Wednesday in Cease Family Funeral Home, Bemidji.
Visitation: Tuesday afternoon and one hour before services in the funeral home.
