• Obituary, 2006. Graveside services for Mary "Jane" Amdahl will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 3, at the Mabel Public Cemetery in Mabel; the Rev. Donald P. Schmitz will officiate.

Mrs. Amdahl, a Charter House resident, died July 19, 2006.

Mary Weisman was born in 1914, and grew up in southeastern Minnesota. On June 10, 1939, she married Lauren Amdahl in Winona. They lived in San Jose, Calif., for 34 years before retiring to Charter House in Rochester in 1989.

She is survived by two sons, Jim of Chandler, Ariz., and Steve of Portland, Ore. Survivors include two grandchildren, Joel Amdahl of Austin, Texas, and Ameena Amdahl-Mason of Portland; and two great-grandchildren, Hayden and Lillie Amdahl of Austin, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband on May 31, 2000.
