Betty I. Baldridge, age 79, died Sunday evening, December 28, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She is now with her Lord and Savior and her husband, Chalmer, the love of her life.
Born January 23, 1935 in Wayland, Kentucky to Hillard & Sadie (Combs) Gibson, she was a homemaker the majority of her life. Betty was a member of the Church of God and was formerly employed with the Standard Tube Company. She loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren and enjoyed listening to her tapes for the blind. She also enjoyed cooking, sewing and fishing.
She is survived by her children, James (Maribeth) Baldridge of Crestline, Sherri Baldridge of Plymouth, Ken (Elsie) Baldridge of Mansfield and Beth (Mike) Dixon of Shelby; five grandchildren, Hope (Jimmy), Amy, Jacob (Kendra), Christy (Travis) and Ashley; five great grandchildren, Emilie, Makayla, Blake, Brock and Makenzie; one brother, Bill (Marylee) Gibson of MN and one sister, Priscilla Vanscoy of Collins, OH, many nieces, nephews and close friend Rebecca "Esther" Cool.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Chalmer Baldridge in October 2014, one brother, James Gibson and granddaughter, Anndrea Beck.
Funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday December 31, 2014 from the Barkdull Funeral Home in Shelby. Rev. S.T. Adkins will officiate with internment in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shiloh. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Memorial expressions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research or Hospice of NCO.
