They got jobs that day and went back to KY to get the family and relocate.

HILLARD GIBSON, 55 of 161 East Main St., Shelby, yesterday in Shelby Memorial Hospital.
Survivors: wife, Sadie; daughters, Mrs. Chalmer Baldridge and Miss Pricilla Gibson of Shelby: sons, James of Shelby and William Doyle in New Mexico; five grandchildren: brothers Gomer and William in Kentucky; sisters, Mrs. Ernest Nance of Dayton and Mrs. Woodrow Bradley in Kentucky.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday from the Regular Baptist Church, Shelby, with Elder Savel Combs officiating. Burial at Oakland Cemetery. Friends call tonight at Dye Funeral Home, Shelby, and at the residence Wednesday evening.
Hillard married Sadie COMBS, daughter of James COMBS and Louverna "Buggy" CONLEY, ca. 1930 in Knott County, KY. (Sadie COMBS was born on 27 Jan 1916 in Knott County, KY 6 and died on 20 Nov 1996 in Huron County, OH 7.)
