"EDIE" passed away on October 27, in Auburn, Calif. Edie attended nursing school and earned a postgraduate degree in Pediatric Nursing. When the Korean War began, she joined the Navy Nurse Corp. She met her husband Duane in April of 1951, they were married on October 31, 1953 and lived in San Diego Calif. for 40 of their 50 years together. Her husband Duane; sons, Paul, James, and Matthew survive Edie. A celebration of her life will be held Sunday, November 21, from 1-4 p.m. at the Chula Vista Elks Lodge.
