He was born August 25, 1924 in Detroit, the son of the late Fritz Carl Ristau and the late Gladys (nee:Raymond) Ristau. Fred had a love for the outdoors. He was an avid golfer and loved driving his pontoon boat on Houghton Lake. He was an easy going man who enjoyed life to the fullest. Many said he was a people person and loved to sing. He even sang in the churches choir. Fred will be a man that will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was the beloved husband of Mae. Dearest father of Mark (Sue), Brian (Sandy), and Laurel Henderson. Loving grandfather of Bradley, Justin, Erik, and Michael. A Memorial Service will be held on February 12th, 2011 at 11:00 am at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Warren. Arrangements have been entrusted to the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 Mile Road). Please share memories at his guest book.
