Vida Aygarn, Fargo
Vida Aygarn, 93, Bethany Homes, Fargo, formerly Valley City, N.D., died Wednesday, June 5, 2002, in the nursing home.
Miss Aygarn was born Sept. 11, 1908, in Leal, N.D. She grew up in the Leal and Rogers, N.D., areas and graduated from high school in Rogers. She graduated from Valley City State University in 1934, then taught school for 10 years in Wimbledon, Lidgerwood and Kathryn, all North Dakota. She then moved to Los Angeles, where she attended the University of Southern California and the University of California-Los Angeles. She taught night school in the Los Angeles area for several years. She also worked in the administration office at USC. She taught school for 12 years in Saudi Arabia, then returned to California and later lived in Alaska. She moved to Valley City in 1994.
Memorial service: Monday at 10 in the Mavis Whiting Chapel at Bethany Homes.
Burial: Woodbine Cemetery near Valley City.
