• Reference: Dodge, 1915, Dunn County, North Dakota, USA. This Northern Pacific Railroad station was founded in 1914 in Section 10-144-91, Loring Township. Railroad official Lee C. Pettibone named it for George W. Dodge, a banker from Anoka, Minnesota who owned the townsite, although local residents had suggested Loring or Mittelstedt as the name of the town. The post office was established December 21, 1915 with Hans A. Burgess as Postmaster. The elevation is 2004, the Zip Code is 58625, and the village, which incorporated in 1917, reached a peak population of 251 in 1950.

He also has a farm some miles east of the city. He has a wife and several children.
