He was a member of the Pyrotechnic Club and Rotor Club. He was an Army veteran of the ASA Intelligence. Because of a motorcycle accident, he designed a safety device for the safe removal of protective helmets, marketed as Hatsoff.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Judith (nee Miller); fond brother Patricia (Norman) Blank of Alaska; brother-in-law of Mary (Tom) Maple; loving children of John (Amy) of Colorado, James of Palatine and Paul of Washington; dear grandchildren Kailey and Brittaney.

Arrangements were made by the Cremation Society of Illinois.

He was a member of the Pyrotechnic Club and the Rotor Club. He was an Army veteran, ASA Intelligence Division. He was the beloved husband of Judith (nee Miller); loving father of John (Amy) of Colorado, James of Palatine and Paul of Washington; dear grandfather of Kailey and Brittaney; fond brother of Patricia (Norman) Blank of Alaska; brother-in-law of Mary (Tom) Maple; and uncle of many nieces and nephews.
