CHENOA - The funeral for Mary Elizabeth Reiners, 84, of Chenoa, will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Chenoa United Methodist Church, Chenoa, the Rev. Tony Allen officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Pontiac. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa, and for one hour before services Tuesday at the church.

She died at 1:50 a.m. Friday (Nov. 5, 1999) at Livingston Manor, Pontiac.

Memorials may be made to Chenoa United Methodist Church, or to Franciscan Hospice of Central Illinois.

She was born Nov. 9, 1914, in Amity Township, Graymont, the daughter of Adolph R. and Mayme Brinkman Ryerson. She married William Harold Reiners on Dec. 26, 1940, in Britt, Iowa. He died March 24, 1985.

Survivors include one son, Lawrence Harold Reiners, Chenoa, and one sister, Christine (Kenneth) Folkers, Chenoa.

Also surviving are one grandson, Steve (Wilma) Meyer, Gridley; one granddaughter, Sharee (David) Wright, Normal; five great-grandchildren, Nicole, Alex, Lexis and Hunter Wright, and Skyler Meyer.

Her parents, three brothers, one sister and one granddaughter preceded her in death.

She was a cafeteria manager for Chenoa School District No. 9 for 32 years.

She was a member of Chenoa United Methodist Church. She graduated from Pontiac Township High School and attended Illinois State University.

Miss Mary Ryerson became the bride of Harold Reiners Thursday, Dec. 26, at Burlington, Ia., with Rev. John Beuscher reading the service in the parsonage of the Evangelical church. They were attended by Claire Ryerson, brother of the bride, and Ruth Reiners, sister of the groom.

Mrs. Reiners is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Ryerson, of Pontiac, and has been engaged in teaching at a rural school northwest of Graymont the past few years.

Mr. Reiners is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Reiner Reiners, of Chenoa, and has been engaged in farming. The new home will be made on a farm southwest of Pontiac.
