Mr. and Mrs. Albert Haslerud, Walter Haslerud and Mr. and Mrs. Hans Halvorson of Rushford went to Barret, Minn. Sunday to attend the funeral of Mrs. Sannes, who passed away last Thursday. She was the mother of Mrs. Haslerud and Mr. Halvorson.

Mrs. Bergitte Sannes of Barrett Passed away Thursday, Oct. 20. Death was due to acute indigestion causing heart block. She was 80 years old at the time of her death. Mrs. Sannes enjoyed good health in spite of her advanced years.
Bergitte Nelson was born at Oslo, Norway on May 2, 1858. She was united in marriage to Henry O. Sannes who preceeded her in death. Mrs. Sannes lived at Cash Lake and East Grand Forks before coming to Barrett about fourteen years ago. For the past two years she has been making her home with the Rev. Ivar Sandberg family at Barrett.
Mrs. Sannes was vitally interested in all worth while things, in the home, church and community, and was very active up to and including the last day of her life. She seemed perfectly well until about an hour before her death which occurred at 7:45 p. m.
She is survived by one son and two daughters, namely, Hans Halvorson of Rushford, Mrs. Dagny Halvorson of Rugby, N.D., and Mrs. Asta Haslerud of Peterson.
Funeral services were held at the parsonage and at Our Savior's church at Barrett Monday afternoon. Rev. Ivar Sandberg conducted the services using as his text I Sam. 20, 3 in the Norwegian language and Luk. 2, 29-30 in the English language. Miss Karen Samuelson sang "Den store hvide flok" and "Saved by Grace."
Burial was make in Our Savior's Cemetery. The pall bearers were Tom Otterson, N.M. Otterson, Carl Otterson, Andrew Anderson, J.O. Hagen and Tom Rust
Birgitte married Oskar HALVORSEN, son of Halvor Larsen and Oline Hansdatter, on 29 Sep 1878 in Vestre Aker, Akershus, Norway.1 (Oskar HALVORSEN was born on 23 Oct 1849 in Oslo, Akershus, Norway 6 and was baptized on 18 Nov 1849 in Oslo Domkirke, Akershus, Norway.)
