Merle Lobland, 94, passed away in Colorado Springs on April 5, 2012. He was born on September 30, 1917 to Magnus and Bertina Lobland. He married Doris Jorgens on December 29, 1944. Merle served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He and Doris owned Lobland Roofing until his retirement in 1976. Merle was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church for 55 years. He was an avid fisherman and gathered with friends every morning for coffee at McDonalds.
Merle is survived by his wife of 67 years, Doris; a niece, Sandra Peterson and three nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM, on Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at Grace Lutheran Church, 1128 E. Boulder Street, Colorado Springs, CO. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Lutheran Church Memorial Fund
