Thursday, Nov. 29, 1894
The subject of this sketch Mrs. Torgund Julsrud was born in Wisconsin in 1850 and came to this county with her parents at an early age. She was married to J. Julsrud in 1869 and has been a resident of this city since that date.
She was the mother of size children three of whom were called to her heavenly rest in early childhood and the other three, the youngest of whom is but five years, survive her and with their father mourn the loss of a loving mother and faithful wife.
Never of strong constitution an attack of Le Grippe [influenza] a few years ago, left her quite feeble and that dread disease consumption [Tuberculosis] was soon firmly intrenched notwithstanding the efforts of medical skill to prevent its advance. For the past year she has steadily grown worse until Wednesday the 14th just when she passed away from earth and entered into that perfect rest prepared for the faithful. She was a devoted christian and ready to obey her Master's Will.
The funeral took place Saturday, afternoon Rev. E Jaustad conducting the services. A Large number of sympathizing friends and neighbors were in attendance at the residence and church and in the procession to the cemetery.
