• Biography. Anna was born on the Kvam farm but later moved to the Skjerven farm where she is mentioned. Anna and her second husband, Tollef Bottelfsen, first lived on the same cotter farm under Ølnes that Tollef had lived on with his first wife. They came to America in 1873 as Tollef and Anna Olness and lived with her son Lars in Arendahl Township, Fillmore County, Minn.
