The petition of Peter Paquette, guardian of said
Samuel M. Paquette, Abraham S. Pauqette &
Dora W. Paquette minors heirs of Dora Paquette deceased
respectfully represents that the
following is the condition and description of the estate of his said ward.
It consists wholly of real estate being a form of about 151 acres with about 100 acres under cultivation - which is non reated from year to year for a share of crops. That the amount realized from said rent is wholly inadequate for the care, support and maintenance of said wards and that the following is a full & complete disception [description] of said pre[? ?] { The south-east quarter of the south-west quarter (SEW) section No. seve (7); north one half of north-west quarter (N NW 1/4) and est one-half [?] the north-west quarter of north-east quarter (W 1/2 NW 1/2 NE 1/4) and five (5) acres in the north-east corner south-east of the north-west quarter (5 a. in NE cor. SE 1/4 NW 1/4) XXX in section No. eighteen (18) all in Township No. twenty-one (21) north, Range No. four (4) west. the said above described five acres being the lands sold and deeded to Samuel Kenyon by D. S. Livermerev May 30th 1870 deed of which lands is recorded in Volume 12 of Deeds on page 627 in the office of the Register of Deeds in and ofr Jackson County Wisconsin.

That it is necessary apropos that said real estate be sold for the reasons following (1) the income derived for use and rent of said real esate is insufficient to pay the taxes, insurance and keep the premises in repair and pay any considerable amount towards the care, keeping and maintenance of said children and that they have no other income that can be used for the purpose of keeping, maintaining and educating the said minors and that the month which coule be obtained from the sale of of said premises could be used to better advantage for the benefit of said minors that can be done be keeping the lands and renting the same as must of necessity now be done.

"Sol" Paquette in Hospital there Undergoes Operation
for Appendicitis Which Proves Fatal

Solomon Paquette died at a hospital at Dickenson, N. D. on
Friday night last, October 28th from the effects of a surgical
operation for appendicitis. He moved to Beach, N. D. from here last
spring, and had employnment there with a civil engineer. He was
about to take a land claim when taken sick and went to Dickinson for
treatment.

The remains were brought here on the Monday night train, to the
home of his brother Moses, and funeral services were held at the
Catholic church this forenoon, conducted by Rev. Father Kinney, and
the remains were interred in the Riverside Cemetery.

The deceased was 47 years, 7 months and 12 days of age, and was
born at Portage. He came here with his parents about twenty-nine
years ago. Later he was married to Miss Dora Kenyon to the town
(ship) of Albion, and she died about twenty years ago, leaving three
children who are now grown up--Sam of Arizona, Abe of Beach, N. D.,
and Miss Winnifred of this city. In April 1906 he was again married
to Miss Emma Hagberg, who survives him, and who with her step son Abe
came from Beach with the remains. Sam also arrived here Tuesday
evening from the far west. Among the other relatives here from
abroad to attend the funeral are George Brisbois, a half brother,
from Portage, Wisc.; St. Clair Paquette, a brother, and wife, from La
Crosse; and Miss Tillie O'Connell, a niece from Chicago. His brother
Peter, and sister, Miss Mary, who had but just returned to Arizona
from here, did not feel able to come again so soon.


Solomon married Dora KENYON, daughter of Samuel KENYON and Mary PATTERSON, on 19 Nov 1885 in Jackson County, WI.1 (Dora KENYON was born on 13 Mar 1870 in WI and died on 14 Nov 1890 in Clark County, WI 5.) The cause of her death was cellulitis.


Solomon next married Bertha Marie VALEBY, daughter of Johannes Christiansen VALEBY and Julia HOFF, on 11 Nov 1895 in La Crosse County, WI.2 (Bertha Marie VALEBY was born on 25 Mar 1869 in Gran, Oppland, Norway and died on 2 Oct 1947 in Bucyrus, Adams County, ND 6.)


Solomon next married Emma HAGBERG on 8 Apr 1907 in Jackson County, WI.3 (Emma HAGBERG was born Oct 1877 ? in Norway.)
