John BOWIE

• Residence: The Hill Plantation: Caroline County, VA. John Bowie obtained a grant of land from the English Crown abt 1742 and settled on the Rappahannock River near Port Royal, Caroline County. John's plantation was called "The Hill". John and Judith had 7 children:

John married Judith CATLETT, daughter of John CATLETT III and Mary GRAYSON, in 1745. (Judith CATLETT was born ca. 1730 and died in 1798.)
