  Noted events in her life were:

• Alt. Birth, 1605, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND.

• Cemetery: Old Roxbury Hill Cemetery, 1661. The family experienced severe financial, legal , medical, emotional and religious issues culminating with daughter Rebecca
being accused and convicted of witchcraft, and in 1656, excommunicated and banished. The family then removed to Roxbury, Mass.
Rebecca Thompson Gibson died shortly after her daughter was dismissed from the church and banished from the community,
obviously an extremely stressful time for her and the entire family. She was buried in Old Roxbury Hill Cemetery on December 1, 1661.

Rebecca married Sir John GIBSON of Pentland, son of Lord Alexander GIBSON and Lady Margaret CRAIG, in 1630. (Sir John GIBSON of Pentland was born in 1601 in Hertfordshire, ENGLAND and died in 1694 in Cambridge, Middlesex County, MA.)
