EDWARD LEAVELL (JOHN LAVELLE) was born 1685, and died July 1749 in St. George's Parish, King and Queen County, Virginia. He married MARY ? Abt. 1704. His will was executed 8-1-1749 in Spotsylvania County, Virginia. WILL BOOK A (1722-1749) Edward of St. George's Parish died Feb. 23, 1742/3, probated this date. Wit. George Nix, Martin True, William Woolbank. Ex. wife Mary Leavil. Leg. wife Mary, sons Joseph and Benjamin Leavil, 200 acres of land, my son Joseph having the manor plantation. (page 484) • Note, 1746, Spotsylvania County, VA. George Nix in Spotsylvania County VA in 1746. In 1750 George Nix and wife Elizabeth of Orange Co. VA sold Spotsylvania Co. land left to him by his father George. A George Nix of St. George Parish Va. had a will probated 1746, mentioning wife Susanna and sons George and Joseph. A 1758 Bedford Co. will of William Nix mentions Edward, Joseph and Mildred Nix. • Will, 1740. In 1740 Edward and Mary were witness to George Nix will and Edward was made ex with William McWilliams . George married Susannah about 1721. (Susannah was born about 1695 and died before Dec 1750.) George next married. |
