Dewey Gibson
Dewey Gibson, 76, of Detroit, Mich, formerly of Melvin, died Monday, October 21 at Quali-care Nursing Home in Detroit.
Born August 31, 1915 in Knott County, he was the son of Hillard and Sally Anne Slone Gibson. He was a retired security guard.
Survivors include, one brother, Ballard Gibson, of Ligon; five sisters, Mary Caudill, of Lexington; Zettie Johnson, of Martin; Maggie Campbell, of Tenn.; Ethel Calhouse, of Slonesvalley; and Ida Younce, of Melvin.
Funeral Services will be today, October 25 at 10:00 a.m. at Joppa Old Regular Baptist Church, at Melvin, with Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating.
Burial will follow in the Harris Cemetery at Melvin, under the direction of Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home.
