• Obituary: Busch Funeral and Crematory Services : OH. Irene E. Doerr (nee Smith), 87 of Shelby, OH, formerly of Sheffield Lake passed away on Sunday, November 11, 2012 at Shelby Point Nursing Home following a long illness. Irene was born in Bucyrus on November 1, 1925 and graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1943. She worked as a secretary for Public Health League and was a member of First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, and American Legion Post 326. Irene loved to read, especially biographies and history novels and she enjoyed all kinds of puzzles.

Irene is survived by her children Marilee Moss of FL, James Moss of Bucyrus, Suzanne Anderson (Thomas) of Fort Wayne, IN, and Janet Brown of Shelby; step-children Roger Doerr (Kathy), Carole Kuehn (Denny), Ron Doerr, and the late Paul; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Thomas Moss, Roy F. Tullis, and Richard Doerr; sons Thomas Moss and Charles Tullis; grandson Derek Robinson; and parents Samuel and Pearl Smith (nee Bowlby).

Friends may call 1 hour prior to service at Church. Memorial service at 2pm on Saturday, November 17 at First United Methodist Church, 18 South Gamble Street, Shelby. Memorial contributions may be forwarded to First United Methodist Church or Shelby Girl Scouts, Pam Sweeney, 407 Lorwood Dr. Shelby, OH 44875.
