Age 74, of Mousie, died December 29, 1997, at Hazard Appalachian Regional Medical Center. Born May 23, 1923 in Knott County, she was the daughter of the late Ezekiel Gibson and Ada Conley Gibson. Survivors include her husband, Sterling Wright; one son, Pete Wright of Wheelwright; four daughters, Ethel Whitaker of Charlotte, Michigan, Linda Dunnagan of Bridgeton, New Jersey, Deborah Bentley of Mousie, and Tammy Cruz of Paris; four sisters, Virgie Caudill of Mousie, Jane Szoke of Strongsville, Ohio, Della Adkins of Prestonsburg, and Louise Greet of Hindman; three brothers, Zeke Jr. Gibson of Hamilton, Ohio, Carl Gibson of Mousie and Kendall Gibson of Michigan; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were Friday, January 2, at 11 a.m., at the Hindman Funeral Services Chapel, with Roger Hicks officiating. Burial was in Davidson Memorial Gardens at Ivel.
