Beatrice "Bea" Castle Combs, age 86, of Wayland, Ky., widow of Virgil Combs, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2009 in the Highlands Regional Medical Center, Prestonsburg, KY. She was born July 17, 1922 in Johnson Co., KY., the daughter of the late Ernest Castle and Clara Blair Castle, Mrs. Combs was a member of the Wayland United Methodist Church and a homemaker.

Survivors include a daughter Brenda C. (Roger) Horne of Wayland, KY., one brother, Douglas (Juanita) Castle of Dayton, OH., three grandchildren, Roger J. (Jeanna) Horne, Angel (Tim) Stephens and Greg (Robin) Horne, 5 great grandchildren, BreAnn, Austin, Dawson, Tanner and Brock.

Funeral services for Beatrice (Bea) Castle Combs will be conducted Friday, July 3, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hall Funeral Home with Kendall Brian Combs and Jack Howard officiating. Burial will follow in the Martin Cemetery, Wayland, KY., under the professional services of Hall Funeral Home. Visitation is after 5:00 p.m. Thursday at Hall Funeral Home.
