BUCYRUS -- Thomas J. Moss, 56, 51 Willow Court, died Wednesday in Bucyrus Community Hospital after four years for failing health.

Born in Scranton, Pa., he came to Bucyrus 43 years ago and was last employed at Bucyrus Blades. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and a veteran of World War II.

Mr. Moss is survived by his wife, Ruby; a son James of Shelby; two daughters, Marilee of Columbus and Mrs. Suzanne Robbins of Columbus, Ind., four step-sons, Alex R. Miller of Bucyrus and Melvin, David and Leslie Miller, all of Florida; two step-daughters, Mrs. Sarah Straiger of Bucyrus and Mrs. Barbara Geis of Miami, Fla.: 20 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in First United Methodist Church by the Rev. A. L. Huffman. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends man call after noon Friday at Wise Funeral Home where the family will recieve callers from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 p.m.

Thomas married Irene Elizabeth SMITH, daughter of Samuel SMITH and Pearl BOWLBY, on 19 Jan 1944 in Union County, NC.¹ (Irene Elizabeth SMITH was born on 1 Nov 1925 in Crawford County, OH and died on 11 Nov 2012 in Shelby, Richland County, OH.)
